June Photo Diary
Okinawa is a beautiful Island south of mainland Japan and a place I have been hearing a lot of good things about since moving to Asia. It’s climate and scenery is often compared to Hawaii and is well-known for its diving and other water activities.
Being that Okinawa is only a quick hour-long flight from where we live on mainland Japan, we decided to take a spontaneous weekend trip there in hopes of enjoying a bit of the island life to jumpstart our Summer.
Here are a few of my favorite moments from our trip…
Okinawa, we have arrived! · checking out the view from our hotel · relaxing pool side
Ryan & I enjoying a spot of tea · sunlit palms · Summer unable to contain her excitement
Summer learning how to swim · pool time with Daddy · wind-blown palm fronds at the pool
tropical plant life · first time visiting the East China Sea · beach combing
island living at its best · delicious tropical mocktails · family beach day
Naturally, a 4-day weekend holiday in Okinawa just didn’t seem long enough. We traveled with a list of Okinawa must-do’s, but never ended up leaving our gorgeous resort! More about where we stayed coming soon!
